CafeNewbie
The Newbie Cafe is a new addition to Going Global. What exactly is it? To
understand the answer, you must first consider the role played by Going Global in helping
newbies to the Internet and international business. In the three years since Going Global
was first launched, it has provided information and assistance to businesspeople
worldwide. As we began our fourth year in April 2000, there will be approximately 160,000
new people joining the Internet daily from around the world. We feel very strongly that
these new newbies deserve an opportunity to obtain as much useful information about the
internet that they need as quickly as possible.
We have called this section the Newbie Cafe because it will resemble a street side cafe
where you might enjoy your morning coffee or other beverage and begin your business day.
We are going to provide you with some news, commentary and analysis that will appear just
below. The commentary will be followed by an extensive links section that will be
specially dedicated to listing websites with information for newbies. Of course, you
can visit the Newbie Cafe at any time of the day or night that is best for you.
We are also going to add a discussion thread here, so that you can exchange views with
other newbies from around the world. This discussion thread will be called the
Going Global Newbie Forum. There are
only a few rules. We will tolerate no profanity or insults directed at anybody else
because of their gender or sexual orientation, religion, political affiliation or lack
thereof, race or nation of origin. This discussion thread is for your benefit, but if you
act foolishly or say hurtful things to people, I will reserve the right to delete your
messages and revoke your privileges. There is no fee or charge for using this
website. Please keep your messages short and be courteous and if you ever have any
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, the webmaster. Click here
for the Newbie Forum or
use the link above or the special link at the bottom of this page after the feedback
form.
Please take a moment and use our feedback form at the bottom of the page to tell us
what you think about this site. The reason for setting up the Newbie Cafe is to give you,
the newcomer to the Internet and international business, the opportunity to ask questions
about things that you do not understand. Whether you consider yourself a newcomer, a
novice or an amateur, to us you are still a "newbie". Going Global is the
first and only website dedicated to helping newbies to both subjects: the Internet and
international business. We have been doing it for over three years now and we must be
doing something right because we're still the only site that looks at both subjects in one
context. Because our audience is global, some of you might not feel completely comfortable
with writing your request in English. That's OK because the Webmaster, Mr. Jeffrey P.
Graham, will answer e-mail in English, Spanish and French.
